Emma McDermott is a competitive drug-free powerlifter in Ireland. She has a background of training in the gym for years and also trained in Olympic Weightlifting for some time before finding her passion in powerlifting. She won the 69kg IrishPF National title earlier this year. She has competed in the 63kg, 69kg and now currently the 76kg class in the IPF.
Her best lifts are 160kg squat, 92.5kg bench and 205kg deadlift. Emma holds multiple deadlift records in Ireland.
Emma has represented Team Ireland at World & European Championships. She is set to compete in Poland at the European Championships in December 2022.
